Venues and Campus
The IRDS will be held on the campus of Indiana University Bloomington.
Sessions and Closing Keynote
All sessions and the Closing Keynote will be held in the Student Building's Collaborative Learning Studio (Room 15). The Collaborative Learning Studio is an innovative classroom space that leverages advanced technologies to support collaborative learning in large classes and large meetings. Speakers will have access to multiple workstation screens as well as a 20-foot wide video wall. We hope that the room encourages more discussion and collaboration than is typical for academic conferences.
The Opening Keynote addresses will be held in the State Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. The IMU is the cultural and historical heart of the IU campus. The IMU houses a number of eateries and restaurants, including two coffee shops (Starbucks and Peet's).
The IU campus is consistently recognized as one of the most beautiful in the country. This is especially true in Spring. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the campus scenery and its many sites, including the IU Museum of Art, The Mathers Museum of World Cultures, The Grunwald Gallery of Art, The Lilly Library, and The Kinsey Institute. More information about the campus, including print and virtual maps, can be found at the university's Visitor Information Center.
